The debut album of Dresden based band GARDA presents wonderful Singer/Songwriter and Folk Pop ballads and is co-released by K&F RECORDS and SCHINDERWIES PRODUCTIONS. Garda from Dresden, Germany, is an open collective of musicians around songwriter Kai Lehmann and drummer Ronny Wunderland. Their debut album ‘Die, Technique, Die!’ can easily bear comparison with the likes of SOPHIA, CONOR OBERST or DAMIEN RICE. Lehmann´s songs about loss, desolation and the longing for safety are based on vocals, guitar and drums, often enlarged with piano, organ, clarinet, additional guitars, cello, tenor horn and trumpet, played by numerous befriended musicians with an outstanding feeling for atmosphere, melodies and structures. Therefore ‘Die, Technique, Die!’ is an affair of the heart, dressed in 11 songs ranging from reduced, fragile Folkpop to rather orchestral moments.
